I spent a lovely, rare rainy summer day in LA with my friend to see Bad Jews at the Geffen! The play was fantastic, managing to be both hilarious and thought-provoking, and I enjoyed it a lot! [It’s too bad I have to write an essay on it now.]
After the play, we headed over to the Napa Valley Grille. It’s really rare for me to eat at places that are even remotely fancy, so of course, when the dishes came out, I was super excited! I split half of a chicken, fancy mashed potatoes, and two different types of bizarre salads, including one with watermelon foam [???] on top.
Also, more excitingly, I had a crème brûlée for the first time ever!! It was delicious, sweet but light, with that great toasted top, and the side of fresh berries
After we left the restaurant, we hung around in the rain waiting for the valet, enjoying the occasional stray droplet. I snagged a few pictures of the buildings across the street, if only because they were so charming and quaint.
