Highlights: The Most Touristy Places in New York City

While in New York, we hit a lot of the most famous sights and landmarks. These are the places that get feature pages in brochures and guides, generally have overpriced tickets [and if not, overpriced food] and are swarming with other people – but for a reason.

Here are some top picks!

Coney Island, taken by… probably my mom???

A blurry phone photo of the inside of the Empire State Building, by me, of course.

I’ve heard that the Top of the Rock observatory offers a strong alternative, however! The MoMA's generally pretty crowded, as it houses loads of world-famous works of art.

Times Square. Obvs. Tourist traffic here has gotten so extreme that most native New Yorkers have cultured an extreme abhorrence to the place.

The Empire State Building.

The Statue of Liberty, natch.

Central Park, although this is somewhat different, as certain parts [such as the zoo] definitely draw more attention that, say, this peaceful tree-lined walkway.
